Washington County Central Dispatch 911 prides itself not only in the quality of our Dispatchers but in the quality of our equipment. Our employees all undergo and extensive training over the technical aspects of all of our equipment such as the Telephones, Radios, CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) and Mapping software. Telephone:
We receive calls trough our Zetron Integrator 9-1-1 phone system from both the E911 system and public telephone system. We operate 3 E911 trunk lines for emergency calls and 4 seven digit administrative lines for non-emergency calls. Radios:
Our Radio Systems consists of 6 tower sites and 3 computer consoles located at our facility. The tower sites are 911, Floyd, High Point, Czar, Belgrade and Irondale. We currently transmit from 911, Floyd and Belgrade. We currently have receivers on 911, Floyd, High Point, Czar, and Irondale. We operate Zetron IntegratorRD console radios. We are able to receive signals and transmit from each tower site from each of our three consoles. CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch):
We are currently running Creative Information Systems Company (CISCO) E-CAD Version 12. This software allows us to record and track the activities associated with every call and unit we dispatch for. The CAD also enables us to send alpha-numeric pages to predetermined pager groups with information regarding dispatched calls. Mapping:
Our GIS Mapping software is GeoLlynx 5.5. Every road and address (excluding City addresses) inside of Washington County and one our map, and is accessible from each of our consoles. When ever a 911 call is received our map interfaces with our phones and located the callers location on the map, this includes cell phone callers. Several Law Enforcement units and Ambulances are also equipped with AVL (Automatic Vehicle location) which allows the dispatchers to actually see where units are in relationship to calls. |
